The Atlanta Braves have activated left-handed starting pitcher Chris Sales from the 60-day IL and optioned right-hander Nathan Wiles to Triple-A. Sale will be making his first start since June today against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The #Braves today returned LHP Chris Sale from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list, after optioning RHP Nathan Wiles to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game.
Wiles joined the active roster yesterday but is heading back to Gwinnett. He appeared in one game for in April.
As for Sale, he made 15 starts prior to fracturing his ribs and had struck out his typically robust 11.
