Charlie Morton underwent surgery yesterday successfully; should be ready for spring training

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported Friday that Charlie Morton had successful surgery to repair his fractured right fibula on Thursday.

Braves right-hander Charlie Morton underwent surgery yesterday to repair his fractured right fibula. Prognosis is the same. Morton is expected to be back by spring training.

The timeline remains the same as previously reported, that he will be healthy in time for spring training, which is obviously good, given that the Braves signed him to an extension through next season, with an additional team option.
