Casey Motter, longtime Atlanta Braves' public announcer, dies at 53

Casey Motter, the Atlanta Braves' tenured public announcer, died early Thursday morning, the club announced in a statement.

A cause of death was not announced by the Braves.

He is known as the “Voice of Truist Park” and has been on the mic for the Braves since 2007.

Motter, 53, was raised in nearby Smyrna, Georgia and attended Campbell High School. His talent was on display when he began announcing his son’s youth football games in the Peachtree district in downtown Atlanta, according to the Braves.
