Camargo batting fifth, Culberson starts in left for Miami finale

Here’s your handy-dandy Statcast game preview graphic for this afternoon’s series finale between the Braves and Marlins:

It’s mid-August, but this is a new arrangement for the Braves, as Camargo and Culberson have never started at shortstop and left field in the same game, respectively. Camargo has actually hit fifth five times this season coming into today; Culberson has hit sixth three prior times.

The Marlins aren’t using anyone unfamiliar from earlier this series in the finale lineup. They’ve used this defensive arrangement once before (August 5), but have never arrayed their lineup in quite the same way, as Lewis Brinson hit seventh ahead of Jorge Alfaro in that game, but drops behind him in this one.
