Bullpen puts together strong week

Until Sam Freeman allowed a hit in the 7th inning on Tuesday night, the Braves bullpen had completed 17 innings of no-hit baseball since last Thursday’s loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.

In that loss, Josh Collmenter hurled a pair of hitless innings after surrendering a hit and Ian Krol finished the game with an inning of work.

The following day, Atlanta began a series against the Nationals with a 7-4 win. When starter R.A. Dickey left that game, the game was knotted at 4-4, but the bullpen kept the Nats at bay until a three-run 8th inning propelled the Braves to the win.
