While recently retired manager Brian Snitker's legacy will be his loyalty to one organization, sticking with the Atlanta Braves for five decades, his son, Troy, doesn't appear to hold any allegiances to his father's organization.

Four years after taking on his father's team in the World Series as the Houston Astros hitting coach, the younger Snitker has now officially taken his talents to New York and joined the rival Mets.

The Mets are hiring Troy Snitker as their next hitting coach, league sources say.
