NORTH PORT – The 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves will celebrate their recent World Series title at their spring training home in south Sarasota County later this month, with the spring season in jeopardy because of a protracted labor dispute between Major League players and owners.
The Braves schedule the “World Champions Welcome Weekend” for Feb. 19-20, at CoolToday Park in North Port. The celebration of the team’s fourth World Series title comes roughly halfway between the date when pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report and the start of spring training games.
