So far, so great for the Braves at home against the Mets in this showdown series. Wins on both Friday and Saturday nights have propelled Atlanta from one game down in the NL East to a one game edge. The series concludes Sunday night at Truist Park.
Another Braves’ win would make it a two game lead in the division with only three regular season games to go. As important, Sunday’s game will determine the season-series tiebreaker edge between the Braves and Mets. Should the teams end the season deadlocked, that determines the NL East winner, and a bypass of the Wild Card round to the NLDS round.
