Starting pitcher Spencer Strider is in his fifth major-league season as a member of the Atlanta Braves. The right-hander was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft and made his big-league debut in 2021.
In his first full season, Strider dominated opposing batters immediately. He posted a 2.67 ERA across 20 starts, earning a runner-up finish for National League Rookie of the Year.
He followed up his breakout campaign with another excellent 2023 season that earned him his first All-Star selection and a fourth-place finish in NL Cy Young Award voting.
Strider missed most of the 2024 season and the beginning of 2025 recovering from elbow surgery to repair a torn UCL.
