Nov. 12—The Atlanta Braves made a move to bolster their bullpen for 2023, agreeing to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with Nick Anderson on Friday.
Anderson is trying to find his way back to the majors after missing much of the last two seasons with injuries. After sitting out much of 2021 before undergoing surgery to repair a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow, Anderson returned to action this past August.
The 32-year-old Anderson made 19 appearances within the Tampa Bay Rays' organization, predominantly with Triple-A Durham. He pitching 17 1/3 innings across 19 games, tallying a 5.
