Mike Foltynewicz is having a breakout season to say the least with an ERA of 2.90 over 170 innings while striking out 188 batters. ‘Folty’ is up to 3.3 fWAR which is by far the most of any Braves pitcher, so Atlanta couldn’t have lined up a better scenario than to have their best and brightest on the mound in a must win game.
