Braves rewind: Whatever happened to…Ryan Langerhans?

When one remembers the "Baby Braves" of 2005, names like Brian McCann, Jeff Francoeur, and Kelly Johnson come to mind. One name you might not consider among them is Ryan Langerhans.

Drafted in 1998, Langerhans debuted in 2002 and became a regular in 2005. He was never a power hitter in the minors with the Braves; however, he hit 20 home runs at Richmond in 2004 and walked at a decent rate. He was a solid fourth outfielder for the Braves, hitting .267 in 128 games despite being stuck behind two aging veterans in Brian Jordan and Raul Mondesi.
