Braves release outfielder Ezequiel Carrera

The Atlanta Braves have released outfielder Ezequiel Carrera from his minor league contract. Carrera appeared in 26 games for Gwinnett but hit just .146/.228/.220 with three doubles and one home run.

Carrera signed with the Braves at the end of spring training after he was released by the Toronto Blue Jays. He was one of the final roster cuts made by Atlanta but an opportunity never presented itself for him at the major league level.

Carrera was a productive player for the Blue Jays in 2017 posting a .
