Braves recall Bryse Wilson, option Jacob Webb to Gwinnett

As expected, the Atlanta Braves recalled right-hander Bryse Wilson from Gwinnett and he will start Saturday evening’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. To make room on the active roster, Atlanta optioned reliever Jacob Webb to Gwinnett.

Wilson has struggled in four starts with the Braves this season allowing 24 hits and 11 runs in 18 innings. He has allowed five homers and has saw his K-rate plummet to just 13.9%.

Webb had a rough week as he was visibly shaken after he hit Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar in the face with a fastball in Monday’s game.
