The Atlanta Braves announced on Monday that they have placed catcher Sean Murphy on the 10-day injured list with a torn labrum in his right hip.
This unfortunate injury will end Murphy's 2025 campaign.
Murphy, 30, has had himself a subpar season thus far, but it has been mainly in part with the Atlanta catcher dealing with injuries before the season started. Murphy sustained a cracked rib during a spring training game back in February, which caused him to miss four to six weeks and not return until April.
