There will likely be plenty of teams in search of starting pitching at the trade deadline as they look to make a postseason run.
But one pitcher can be crossed off everyone’s wish list.
The Atlanta Braves have no intention of moving Chris Sale at the July 31 deadline, Fansided’s Robert Murray reported on Thursday.
The Braves acquired the left-hander from the Boston Red Sox in December 2023 and he’s had a career resurgence. Sale went 18-3 with a 2.38 ERA and 225 strikeouts en route to his first career Cy Young in 2024.
