The Braves added four players to the 40-man roster on Tuesday protecting them from the Rule 5 Draft. Those added were catcher Alex Jackson and RHPs Patrick Weigel, Jacob Webb, and Huascar Ynoa. There was a flurry of 40-man roster activity around the league and MLB Trade Rumors has a complete list.
Braves reliever Jonny Venters was named NL Comeback Player of the Year on Tuesday. Venters made it back to the majors after missing five full seasons due to injury. Atlanta acquired Venters in a trade with Tampa Bay in July and he pitched well down the stretch.
