For Spencer Strider, though the Braves lost the game 2-1 to the Marlins, Monday night was all about positive strides. In terms of process, Strider still had his struggles and is still a ways away from where he wants to be. However, he did show a different approach than in recent starts, relying less on the fastball in general. And the overall results, 95 pitches across 7 innings and only 1 run around, were certainly encouraging.
And for Strider, that end results in this case are more important than the process. He did his job, something Strider takes great pride in.
