The Braves scored twice in the 10th inning and held on late to secure a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Thanks to a Phillies’ loss in New York, Atlanta pushed its lead in the NL East division back to 3.5 games. They will go for a series win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Prior to Saturday’s game, the Braves added a fresh arm to the bullpen in right-hander Chad Sobotka. The Braves now have 35 active players on the roster.
