Nick Markakis hit a grand slam and Max Fried struck out 11 as the Atlanta Braves won their second straight game over the St. Louis Cardinals 11-4.
To make room for Fried on the active roster, the Braves designated outfielder Peter Bourjos for assignment for the second time this season.
Injured Braves’ closer Arodys Vizcaino is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Monday. Vizcaino threw a side session on Saturday and will get a day off on Sunday before rejoining the active roster.
