BRAVES NEWS
It was hardly an aesthetically pleasing win for Atlanta on Wednesday, but it was a win nonetheless as the Braves beat the Giants 2-1. The game featured both teams struggling to come up with a timely hit until Tyler Flowers’ ground ball to third baseman Evan Longoria was delivered to first on a short hop that pulled Brandon Belt off the bag. The runner from third was able to score on the play, which was upheld after a replay review, giving the Braves a go-ahead run which would be protected by Jonny Venters in the bottom-half of the inning.
