Monday could go down as one of the more action packed days for the Braves in recent months. On the field, it was a similar development to many games this year as the Braves lost to the Cubs in disappointing fashion after being up 6-1. However, the biggest news of the day happened off the field.
That came via the Braves claiming infielder Ha-Seong Kim from the Rays. Kim was on waivers, and Atlanta added him for the rest of 2025. Of course, the intriguing aspect of this move is that Atlanta likely views Kim as a potential part of the roster in 2026, as he has a $16M player option.
