Acuña did not disappoint in his second career Major League game as he went 3-for-4 with a single, double and home run coming up a triple shy of the cycle. The Braves, thanks to Acuña’s outstanding play and some good bullpen work would take the game and split their first series against the Reds.
For the third series already this season the Braves will be facing off against the Phillies. This time as the Braves come into town they will bring with them Acuña Jr. who will hopefully torment the Phils for years to come.
After fighting off a pesky staff infection Chase Whitley is ready to rejoin the big league club today and will do so in Philadelphia.
