Since the universal DH came to the National League in 2022, the Atlanta Braves have comfortably slotted Marcell Ozuna into that role the majority of the time. However, with Ozuna set to become a free agent for the first time since 2021, Atlanta will likely have to address DH in a different manner than they have done the past three seasons.
Unless Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos really wants Ozuna back in 2026, or is prepared to throw a lot of cash at Kyle Schwarber, a full-time DH may be a thing of the past for the Atlanta Braves next season.
