The night started out on a good note for the Braves as Ozzie Albies shot a leadoff single to left field to get the game underway. After two consecutive strikeouts Nick Markakis joined him on the basepaths via a walk but the Braves could do no further damage.
Julio Teheran began his night strong with an opening clean couple innings of work and was rewarded in the top of the third inning when Ronald Acuña Jr. led off with a single, was followed on base by a Freddie Freeman single and was chased home along with Freddie on a Nick Markakis 2-RBI double.
