Major League Baseball held its second annual Draft Lottery Tuesday at the Winter Meetings. The Cleveland Guardians entered the event with just a 2.0 percent chance, but landed the No. 1 overall selection. The Cincinnati Reds entered the evening with a minuscule 0.9 percent chance, but jumped all the way up to the No. 2 pick. The Atlanta Braves were outside the lottery and will have the 24th pick of the first round.
The New York Mets, San Diego Padres and New York Yankees all had their picks moved back 10 spots due to CBT penalties.
