Things have not gone well for the Atlanta Braves this season, to put things lightly.
After being swept by the last-place Baltimore Orioles, the Braves sit at 39-50 entering the new week. It's the first time all year they've been more than 10 games under .500, the furthest they've been from a playoff spot (nine games out), and their starting rotation is now missing its top two contributors.
For the Braves to make the playoffs at this point, a minor miracle would need to occur. And with the trade deadline barely three weeks away, the clock is ticking on any shot of improving the roster.
