The Atlanta Braves made this move three times this season.
And again, Jesse Chavez wasn't having it.
The Braves and the 41-year old right-handed pitcher are locked in a weird cycle.
Three times this season, they have signed Chavez to a minor-league deal. Each time, the fan favorite has eventually been selected to the major league roster. And then after a short time in MLB, Chavez gets designated for assignment.
Each time, Chavez has then elected free agency.
It seems like the righty may be seeking a better offer, one that will keep him in the big leagues.
