ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves have designated outfielder Eric Young Jr. for assignment and reinstated outfielder-first baseman Joey Terdoslavich from the 15-day disabled list.
Young was hitting only .169 with no homers, five RBIs and three stolen bases. He became a little-used backup after Cameron Maybin took over the starting job in center field. Young had only 13 at-bats in May.
Terdoslavich was placed on the disabled list on April 5 with a sprained left wrist and began a minor league rehabilitation assignment on May 25. He has hit .
