The Braves have called up catcher John Ryan Murphy from Triple-A. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Braves officially placed Charlie Culberson on the 60-day IL with a fractured cheekbone after being hit in the face with a pitch and being ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Braves acquired Murphy at this year’s Trade Deadline from the Diamondbacks in return for cash.
