April 27 - Right-hander Ian Anderson, a World Series hero for the Atlanta Braves in 2021, is back with the organization after being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.
Anderson, who turns 27 on May 2, was traded by the Braves to the Angels on March 23 for left-hander Jose Suarez after failing to earn a starting rotation spot with Atlanta in spring training.
Anderson struggled badly with the Angels and went 0-1 with an 11.57 ERA in seven relief appearances. He allowed 17 hits and seven walks in just 9 1/3 innings.
