Braves' Brian Snitker Announces Ronald Acuna Jr. News Before Brewers Game

The Atlanta Braves have had an uninspiring season in 2025 after entering the year with playoff expectations. As they begin a series on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers, the team is 47–63 and well out of postseason contention.

While injuries have plagued the roster, none has been more consequential than the absence of Ronald Acuna Jr.

The 27-year-old superstar has been the face of the franchise since his breakout 2018 season, when he earned NL Rookie of the Year honors. Acuna has earned five All-Star selections, three Silver Slugger Awards and the 2023 NL MVP honor. During his MVP season, he made history with the game's first 40–70 season: 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases.
