Braves avoid salary arbitration with Adam Duvall

Adam Duvall is a very polarizing figure amongst Braves fans. For some, they look at Duvall’s impressive raw power and defensive skills combined with some lingering hope that he could produce similarly to how he did in 2016 where he accumulated 3.2 rWAR and hit 33 home runs and drove in over 100 runs. For others, they look at his poor batting average and on-base percentage over his career and the fact that he slashed a dreadful .132/.193/.151 in 57 plate appearances after the Braves traded for him at the deadline.

Duvall was one of several players that were arbitration-eligible that the Braves had been negotiating with leading up to today’s arbitration deadline and the two sides agreed to terms.
