Braves activate Robbie Erlin, appoint Chad Sobotka for 29th man for doubleheader

The Atlanta Braves announced a roster move prior to game one of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Phillies. The team activated left-hander Robbie Erlin and optioned reliever Chad Sobotka following Saturday’s game. Sobotka will however stick around as the team’s 29th player for the doubleheader.

The #Braves today activated LHP Robbie Erlin (No. 49) to the club’s active roster after optioning RHP Chad Sobotka to the club’s alternate training site following last night’s game. The club also appointed Sobotka as the 29th man for today’s doubleheader.

The Braves claimed Erlin off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this week.
