Battery Power: Anderson, bullpen shut down Astros to take World Series lead

The highest-scoring offense in baseball was simply shut down. Ian Anderson threw five no-hit innings, and the Braves bullpen backed him up, slamming the door for a 2-0 win over the Astros on Friday night to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series.

Grant McAuley and Cory McCartney discuss the decision to pull Anderson in the midst of a no-hitter, leaning on the bullpen’s high-leverage arms with two bullpen games looming and Travis d’Arnaud throwing his hat into the ring for early series MVP consideration.
