Austin Riley put up video game numbers this week for the Atlanta Braves and has been rewarded by being named NL Player of the Week. Riley joins Spencer Turnbull and Corey Kluber who split the AL honor after both threw no-hitters this week.
Riley hit .462/.464/1.308 with six home runs, four doubles and 11 RBIs for the week. This is Riley’s first career Player of the Week honor and the second for the Braves this season joining Ronald Acuña Jr. who was honored in April.
Riley and the Braves will hit the road on Tuesday where they will open a brief two-game series against the Boston Red Sox.
