This is a great move by the Atlanta Braves bringing back O’Day for 2.25 million in 2020 and a club 3.5 million in 2021.
Darren O’Day was acquired by the Braves at the trade deadline in 2018 in the Kevin Gausman deal for a group of minor-leaguers and international pool money.
He was long the forgotten man because he was rehabbing a left hamstring strain that caused him not to dress for the Braves in 2018. He then missed the beginning of the 2019 season with a right forearm strain and wasn’t activated until September 5th.
