Miami’s massive payroll cut is going to benefit other teams in a major way — from their divisional rivals now getting multiple chances to possibly beat up on a very weak Marlins team to other teams being able to snatch up the good players from that weak Marlins squad. Christian Yelich is now reportedly being shopped around and the Braves are rumored to be one of the teams trying to get him. The price would be steep, but if you want a 26-year-old outfielder in his prime who can hit and field as well as Yelich can, then the steep price would definitely be worth it.
