Rafael Ortega’s sixth inning grand slam was the difference in a 5-3 win by the Braves over the Dodgers. Max Fried allowed a three-run home run in the first inning to Cody Bellinger then settled down and allowed nothing else over five innings. Atlanta’s bullpen took over from there and allowed just one hit over the final four innings.
The game wasn’t without controversy as Brian Snitker pulled Ronald Acuña Jr. after he failed to run out of the box following a long drive that hit high off the right center field wall.
