Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: This loss stung a little bit more than the rest of them. The Atlanta Braves had the Washington Nationals right where we wanted them. The Braves were leading late and had the Nats on their heels. You could see it on their faces as the innings ticked away…it was the look of “how are the Braves beating us right now.”
The Nationals put together a six-run 8th inning to defeat the Braves on Wednesday night. The Braves led up until that point 2-1 against the Nats Gio Gonzalez. Braves starting pitching Lucas Sims pitched really well — could have been pitching for his future.
