Ozzie Albies and Josh Donaldson homered while Dallas Keuchel fired six shutout innings to help the Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals. The Braves have taken the first two games of their series against Washington and now lead the NL East by nine games.
The Braves activated Austin Riley from the injured list prior to Friday’s game. Riley has been on the shelf since August 5 due to a knee injury. He appeared in 12 rehab games between Rome and Gwinnett. He’s hoping that the time off has allowed him to reset not only physically but mentally as well.
