New GM Alex Anthopoulos is still in the feeling out stage as the head of the Atlanta baseball operations department. His familiarity with the club from top to bottom is going to take time, but with the annual Winter Meetings now upon us, Anthopoulos will now need to be mindful of the dangers that could come with rushing that process.
"I don't know the evaluators yet," Anthopoulos said. "I don't know all of the internal analysis we have. That's just going to take some time. I'm discovering there are some really talented individuals in baseball operations.
