An eleven run performance from the Stripers offense backed up a dominant outing by Kyle Wright, and Gwinnett came out of the series opener with an 11-4 win. Wright had a bit of a rough patch in the first inning and the Stripers fell behind by two runs, but they bounced back in the top of the second inning and never looked back from there. Two singles opened up the inning and brought Jonathan Morales to the plate, and Morales came through with a huge double to bring in Gwinnett’s first run. A single from Jack Lopez tied the game at two and then a double play brought in the go ahead run to give Gwinnett the lead in the game.
