Atlanta Braves Minor League Recap: Pache and Cumberland ignite Rome

Ozzie Albies, 2B: 0-3, BB, .271/.321/.425

Aaron Blair, SP: 5.1 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 5.31 ERA

Gwinnett took the lead early in the game, but a grand slam ruined an otherwise good start from Aaron Blair and gave Gwinnett their second straight loss to Columbus. Ozzie Albies led off the game in the first inning with a walk that extended his on base streak to 15 games, but didn’t score as Jace Peterson grounded into a double play. Peterson redeemed himself for that with an RBI single in the third inning, and then Gwinnett scored another run on a throwing error before Peterson was thrown out at home to end the inning.
