Atlanta Braves Minor League Recap: Orlando Arcia 3 HR game, new pitching prospect emerges

Hard to ask for more action in one day than we saw Sunday, as a new pitching prospect emerged in Low A- a player that will significantly rise up the rankings of our top prospect list at its next revision, and Orlando Arcia just continued to mash with an absolute monster game. Matt Withrow was shoving in Mississippi, while we saw quality games from the likes of CJ Alexander, Bryce Elder, Michael Harris, Vaughn Grissom, Trey Riley, and Willie Carter.

Gwinnett Stripers 12, Charlotte Knights 9 - 10 innings

  • Orlando Arcia, DH: 3-4, BB, 4 R, 4 RBI, 3 HR
  • Johan Camargo, 3B: 1-4, 2 BB, 2 R, RBI
  • Travis Demeritte, LF: 1-4, 2 BB, 2 RBI, HR
  • Abraham Almonte, RF: 3-5, BB, R, 2 RBI, 2B
  • Kyle Muller, SP: 4 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 6 K

Top prospect Kyle Muller got the start against a pretty loaded Charlotte offense that features some former big leaguers and some prospects, and he ended up fairing as expected- showing both the promise of his stuff and the questions of his control.
