Atlanta Braves Minor League Recap: Logan Brown continues hot start, Griffin Benson homers again

Rafael Ortega homered again and the Stripers’ bullpen day held the Louisville offense mostly in check, but Gwinnett could not muster quite enough offense in their 3-2 loss on Saturday. Andres Santiago got the start on the mound in the place of Touki Toussaint who was called up to the majors earlier and gave up three runs although just two were earned. The rest of the bullpen was excellent as Elian Leyva, Shane Carle, and Jacob Webb combined for 5.1 scoreless innings of relief while giving up just one hit and two walks against six strikeouts. It may take a while for Carle to regain the confidence of the big league club after a rough start to the season (and not so great second half of 2018), but Webb is an arm to watch.
