Atlanta Braves Minor League Recap: Ian Anderson Strikes Out Nine

Gwinnett got early and late runs to take a huge lead against the Bulls, and held on late to extend their division lead to 2.5 games. Gwinnett’s offense got off to a blazing start, with leadoff batter Ryan LaMarre immediately giving them a lead with a home run. After a single from Jack Lopez and a walk to Rafael Ortega, Sean Kazmar Jr. put them up 3-0 with a triple and then scored on a Pedro Florimon single to make the score 4-0. The Stripers tacked on a run in the fourth following a sequence of a Travis Demeritte double, two hit batters, and then a bases loaded walk, but couldn’t get more going as a shallow pop out and a double play ended a major threat.
