Gwinnett’s offense broke out in a big way on Wednesday as they took down Norfolk by the score of 14-8. Huascar Ynoa had another tough start as he failed to escape the fourth inning. In his last five starts, he has reached five innings pitched just once and has seen an uptick in hard contact against him as well as less in the way of swing and miss. Philip Pfeifer played the role of long reliever well in going 3.1 innings of scoreless relief with four strikeouts.
The offense did work as Alex Jackson, Johan Camargo, and Jack Lopez all connected for home runs in the game.
