Cristian Pache’s solid final week at the plate included 4 hits in 13 at bats. It did not get off to a swell start in their Monday win against the Rafters, when Pache struck out for a career-high four times in his 5 at bats. Pache’s lone hit did come in the most key point of the game, as he was able to single in the bottom of the 10th innings and then come around to score on another hit and an error to give the Javelinas a win. Pache had a much stronger outing the next day with two hits, scoring both times and knocking in another run as Peoria poured on 14 runs against Mesa.
