Double header on the docket for the Bravos and Philadelphians. The Phillies won 5-0 last night, as Jake Arreita threw 6 IP scoreless. Not only was Arrieta’s sinker/slider combo spotting up perfectly, but the three relievers who came in—two of which are objectively terrible—also managed to keep the Braves off the scoreboard.
As for Kyle Wright, he had one horrid inning the 2nd time through the lineup, but Snitker let him pitch through it, and he found his stuff again. From what I saw, and the announcers concurred, Wright’s stuff plays, but he gets in his head the 2nd time through the lineup.
